Dr. Nathan C. Stebbins grew up just twenty minutes from Punxsutawney, graduating near the top of his class from Purchase Line High School. A member of the National Honor Society and gifted program, he excelled both academically and athletically. He was an All-Conference and county All-Star basketball player and held a key role in his team's state playoff run as a senior.
He was accepted into the Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where he earned his undergraduate degree in pre-medicine biology with minors in chemistry and physics. He graduated Summa Cum Laude while also competing as a member of the IUP basketball team.
He went on to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, completing his Doctor of Optometry degree with academic and clinical honors. His clinical training included rotations at the Lynch Pediatric Institute and the VA Hospital in Orlando, Florida. He began practicing and serving his community in 2003.
A dedicated community leader, Dr. Stebbins has been a Punxsutawney Rotarian for 20 years, serving as a past president and earning multiple Paul Harris Fellow recognitions. He is also a former president and long-time board member of the Punxsutawney Area Community Center. His commitment to service extends to involvement in the Garden Club, the school health council, and other local initiatives. He is a long-time member and governing board leader at Solid Rock Community Methodist Church.
Dr. Noah Schneider was born and raised in the Tri-County area. He is a 2017 graduate of the DuBois Area High School where he was a member of the football, baseball, and wrestling teams. He was also involved in numerous other extracurricular activities including the Special Olympics, Read Across America, Goodwill clothing drive, and National Honor Society.
Upon graduation, he attended Penn State Behrend in Erie, where he continued his baseball career, pitching for four years while he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Shortly after starting his undergraduate work here, he connected with his future wife, Erika (Adamson) Schneider also of the Tri-county area.
After undergrad, they moved to Philadelphia where he attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and she worked as a cardiothoracic step-down nurse. At PCO he gained extensive experience in primary care, ocular diseases,specialty contact lenses, binocular visions, neuro-optometry and pediatrics.While training at the Eye Institute he was nominated for the prestigious Toland Scholarship for clinical excellence. At graduation, he received two distinguished awards: the Suite 1 Clinical Excellence Award and the Conforma Laboratories Award for Excellence in Fitting of Contact Lenses.
When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with family, running, playing baseball, golfing, hunting, fishing, and hiking with Erika and their two pups, Missy and Griffin. He is a lifelong member of the DuBois Church of Christ. Heis looking forward to providing a compassionate and thorough approach with his patients.
